First: Consider your Location, Although we would love to have
you in our unit, you may not want to drive the distance to us. Take a look at where
we are in relation to you. If you cannot make the drive to us every Wednesday, then
locate a unit closer to you.
Second: Once you have located a unit in your area, we recommend
that you visit the squadron.
Before making your decission to join, we also recommend that you attend 3 meetings to see
what our program is like. You will be greeted, given a brief orientation to our programs,
and be able to participate in classes or activities that we are doing. Please come and see
what we do.
At the first of these three meetings we will conduct an orientation interview with you and
your parent/guardian. All applicants for cadet membership must meet the following prerequisites:
1. Twelve years old (and attending 6th grade) through 18 years old.
2. Enrolled in or graduated from a public or private school or college with a satisfactory record of academic achievement.
3. Not married.
4. Not a member of the active duty Armed Forces.
5. United States citizen or alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States.
6. Good moral character.
